Skoda Yeti (2009 - 2017)
1.2 TSI 110ps S 5dr
fab till it leaked out quarter a tank of petrol in a petrol station like a stream
did all it said on the tin apart from two wee paint issues . . till i was in a petrol station about to put in petrol when the management warning system came on then an 2 ft wide stream of petrol came rushing out from under the car .a quarter of a tank in less than 30 seconds . . skoda did not want to know as it was out of warranty fully paid for . . all sorts of get outs . but ive had the car serviced and looked after well . so they were out of order on all that . . now in the hands of the financial ombudsman . .. 8 pages on briskoda with others experiencing the same . . bolts not put on at the right torque in the factory. my mechanic engineer came to that conclusion before i had discovered briskoda . . fabias with the same engine were affected as well . .. skoda told me the car would not have gone on fire as todays cars are designed not t go on fire . yeh like petrol does not go on fire ? has it been redesigned also ? i think not this is a disaster waiting to happen . its like if you had a gas meter installed in your house and 4.10 years later the big nut came loose all on its own but hey thats ok nothing stays on forever . so your house blows up but thats ok its not expected that on a fuel line your bolt will hold forever . i think not . im disgusted by this .and it made me nervous and frighten to go out in my car even although it was repaired .well by my local engineer every noise it made i was paranoid after that . still am . . i keep my fire extinqiisher under my seat with an axe incase i cant get out .
