Skoda Yeti (2009 - 2017)
S 1.2 TSI 105 5dr Hatchback
Faulty from day one.
This is our third Yeti and we are very disapointed in the drop in standard. Gone is the slick gearchange. The 2015 model we purchased is very difficult to get in gear and Skoda assist had to be called out on day two as it was impossible to know what gear had been selected. If you are thinking of replacing an earlier model I would suggest a test drive in the latest model year first. Also, if you do require any warranty repairs on your vehicle, even after a week or two dont expect great customer service. We were promised a new gear selector box would be fitted, but instead we waited 2 hours for the gear linkage to be adjusted for the third time in 6 weeks, which has not rectified the problem. The mechanic at the dealership did explain to me that Skoda no longer allowed their dealers to decide what repairs are required and that every warranty job requiring parts had to be pre authorised by Skoda technical department, who would respond within 48 hours. I guess repairs paid for by the customer are still diagnosed and repaired without Skoda authorisation!! All in all a very poor experience, we will never buy another Skoda.
