Skoda Yeti (2009 - 2017)
1.2 TSI dsg Elegance
Absolutely first class
This is my first Yeti, but not my only Skoda. My wife and I have owned three between us over the past 25 years, from 2 Estelles to a Fabia. None of them were worth talking about, but, having just parted with a Golf 1.4 TSI DSG Match, we find the raised driving position, not to mention the extra luggage room, and heated leather front seats. the bi-xenon headlights that turn with you, not to mention a whole raft of other extras, are all far better than their supposed classier relation. The two cars share the same seven speed dual clutch assembly, but I feel that Skoda seem to have given this just a little extra tweek or two, and made it that bit smoother (although I could not fault the Golf on that score)
As the Yeti stands somewhat higher than most family hatchbacks, access is much easier, both to the front seats, and also to the rear. Fitted with a brilliant rear seat arrangement (the seats can be tippled, removed, or the centre one removed and the two outer ones moved inwards to form a spacious four seater).
