Skoda Yeti (2009 - 2017)
Elegance 2.0 TDI CR 140 4x4 DSG 5dr Auto Hatchback
Excellent apart from overly firm ride
We traded in our2010 Fabia Estate TDI at a Birmingham dealership for this four week old Yeti with 400 miles. It is gunmetal grey with black roof and has various extras including polished alloys and silver roof rails plus GTI style wheel arch trims and silver running boards, not sure about these. It has a spare wheel too, I am not comfortable with an inflation kit.
Now covered 6,000 miles. Excellent relaxed drive apart from a slightly jittery ride from the somewhat low profile tyres on 17inch wheels. MPG on a run is 45-50 indicated, and have seen 54 on my gentle, no more than 60 mph 11 mile commute. For comparison our 1.6 TDI DSG Golf estate does 58-60 on the same trip.
The car is compact, spacious and very solidly put together. Well equipped and love being able to put all our music on a 128meg SD card, no need for the six CD player or MP3 connector it has anyway. No problems so far, it will be interesting to see if any of the much discussed DSG problems arise. Would certainly buy another Yeti.
