Ford Mondeo (2007 - 2015)
2.0 TDCi Titanium ECO 5dr Hatchback
Without A Doubt The Best Large Car In Its Class And Beyond!!!!!!
I have just bought my pre registered Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi Titanium X Business Edition but I had a 2.0 TDCi Titanium 2 cars back. I have to make it clear I absolutely love my Mondeo. It is the most comfortable car I have ever owned with its climate control windsor leather recaro type seats. It is very roomy, has a huge boot in fact with the rear seats fully flat you could hold a dance in the back of the Mondeo!!!!. My last model was a 140ps model but this model is the more powerful 163ps version and it is like a rocket, It is very smooth and refined with very little 'diesel knock' and after my extremely greedy KIA Sportage I thought my Mondeo's fuel gauge was stuck!!! It is incredibly good on fuel and only costs £30 p.a. to tax. It is a fairly high trim model and comes with a brilliant sat/nav, voice recognition technology, a reverse camera, the USB connection is by far the best I have experienced yet ( I put dozens of cd's on a memory stick and my Sportage hardly read any of them whilst my Mondeo reminded me of albums I forgot was on the device!!!). If you choose to drive it hard it has great performance and the sports suspension really grips the road to some tune. I used to be a bit of a badge snob and liked my Volvo ( amazing build quality ) Mercedes Benz and Jaguars but really this brilliant Ford Mondeo is as good as anything the so called premium brands can offer. Some say it is a bit long in the tooth having had a 7yr production run and a replacement is due anytime but after 7yrs with only a mid life facelift it is still selling well. It certainly ticks the boxes of all my automotive needs and everytime I drive it I have a grin from ear to ear. My biggest regret was trading in my 08 plate Mondeo for a useless KIA Sportage which I lost a fortune on. This is the first time I have bought the same make and model of car twice, the 08 plate being an excellent car I bought when it was 2yrs old. The only faults I could pinpoint was on the Ford Converse+ dashboard display I was not too keen on the way the fuel and temperature gauges sat at the base of the speedometer and when sitting at 70mph the speedo needle obscured the left hand direction indicator tell tale light, nit picking I know but on the newer facelift model Ford has addressed this. The new model will be out soon so amazing deals are there to be had on this model so what you waiting for!!!!! It is immeasurably superior to the competition such as the Insignia and the KIA Optima. I will be keeping this lovely car for a while, thats for sure!!!
