1.0T 125 Titanium EcoBoost Auto 5dr
Suits my needs perfectly
I bought the Focus to replace a Fiat Tipo, mainly because my wife was finding it uncomfortable to use the clutch in a manual car following hip surgery. I chose the Ford based on positive impressions from driving a friend's Fiesta automatic with the 1.0 ecoboost engine.
After almost a year of ownership, I am still delighted with the Focus. It does everything we need competently. It is easy but rewarding to drive and very comfortable.
I have seen the horror stories about the ecoboost engine but ours so far has been completely reliable. The only fault experienced was failure of the active shutter mechanism on the radiator but this was easily fixed under the dealer warranty that came with the car.
My local Ford specialist recommended an oil and filter change every 6 months using the correct Ford specification oil and I hope this will help to maintain reliability at a relatively small cost.
