Were the diesel claims all just a big scam?

Whatever happened to the diesel claims which we were all asked to put in? Pogust Goodhead does send the occasional email but this has been going on for years now. Has it all been a big scam?

The diesel claims issue involves many thousands of claimants, several manufacturers and a number of law firms. Perhaps, unsurprisingly, something of this scale involving lawyers can be a time-consuming process. A number of deadlines for new claims passed at the end of 2024, and the first major trial involving Citroen, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Ford, Peugeot and Renault is scheduled for October 2025. Even if this is concluded quickly, which seems unlikely, if the decision goes in favour of the claimants the manufacturers are likely to appeal, so it is unlikely that there will be a conclusion before 2026.
