Ford Fiesta (2008 - 2013)
Fiesta Titanium (3 door) 1.4
Very reliable and dependable car
I've had my fiesta for nearly 7 years. I've been considering upgrading it for the past year or so, but still haven't made a decision because there isn't anything wrong with my car! I only really need an extra 2 rear doors and preferably a diesel due to my annual mileage increasing. That said, its still fairly frugal, averaging around 42-48mpg depending on how I drive it. Its been incredibly reliable mechanically as nothing has ever gone wrong! I service my car every year, which I feel helps. I have however had a couple of issues with the electrics. Mine eats headlight bulbs like they're going out of fashion. Probably have to change them every 3 months! Currently when using the phone over Bluetooth, I only get audio out of the rear near side speaker, despite radio/USB music working on all speakers fine the rest of the time. And once my electric window just stopped working - but that issue miraculously sorted itself out. I also had an issue with the 16" Titanium alloy wheels, as 3 of them buckled. Under warrantee, Ford were not interested in assisting me with this issue as "they're a wearing part", so I replaced them for some aftermarket ones and its been fine ever since. I'd be interested to know however, what part of a car isn't a wearing part?
Would I recommend this car? Most certainly. Would I recommend Fords customer service? Perhaps not! They're slow to service your car (Eastbourne branch) and aren't interested when your wheels buckle (despite buckled alloys being a common complaint).
