Very good car

I bought this car in December 2013 from a non franchised dealer with 52,800 miles and full Ford service history. I bought the econetic as I knew that my average journey was going to be 200 miles a day (90% motorway). I have done 12,500 miles and averaged 61mpg at a typical speed of 75mph or stop start driving when close to work or certain motorway junctions.

The car is comfortable, nippy, excellent handling, no wind noise and quieter than I expected (it is sensitive the the road surface but this is likely to be the "Continental" tyres - I have been told that Michelins are quieter) which are all plus points. The car is very stable and forgiving if you arrive at a corner quicker than you thought which is where the handling really does shine!!

I have noticed that due to the skinnier tyres that driving the car on rain drenched roads is very good with not a hint of aquaplaining.

Reliability has been excellent - starts first time and no issues, trim / build quality is good.

In for its 5th service at Ford dealership and have been told £166 so if there are no problems found then will be pleased

I did test drive a couple of mini cooper diesels but found they suffered from a lot of wind noise above
