  I am confused.  I have rung a couple of places for battery prices and some tell me that I will need to set up a 'trickle charge' to the leads as I change the battery as it will mess with the ECU, radio and clock settings - the clock and the radio I am fine with the ECU

  My air con has failed due to stone damage leading to a repair bill of just shy of £800. Since the failure is due to stone damage surely this a design fault due to insufficient shielding.  Is BMW liable due to design failure for any of the repair bill?

  We have a 1988 Fiat Ducato hi top campervan conversion and have had problems with the engine cutting out during torrential rain. It just dies and when we pull over till the rain passes thru it starts again. Where is the rain getting in? Could it be the battery or perhaps the ht leads getting wet?

  If you back off the throttle and then go back on the car is very jerky. It will also occasionally be hesitant when accelerating. It has had new plugs, distributor cap and rotor arm; the leads are about 3 years old. It feels more like a fuelling/metering fault. Any ideas?

  Pal of mine is scratching his head over what seems to be a very simple problem. He has disconnected the battery leads and can't see any obvious clamping mechanism but the battery won't lift out of its housing. It seems to be a tight fit in the housing but something also appears to be holding

  my heaters in my fiesta are only blowing cold air, i have felt the pies on the bulk head leading to the matrix and both pipes are getting hot untill they reach the valve and then only the return pipe is warm does this mean i have a faulty valve or something else please help winter is coming...

  I'm getting a cold start up squeak that goes away when the engine is warm. Dealer says it's auxiliary belt. Will this be fixed by just replacing the belt? If so is it a big job? mAny idea of cost. Is this just annoying or will it lead to other problems?
