04 2.2 Getting the battery out - mike hannon
Pal of mine is scratching his head over what seems to be a very simple problem. He has disconnected the battery leads and can't see any obvious clamping mechanism but the battery won't lift out of its housing. It seems to be a tight fit in the housing but something also appears to be holding it in place. Is he missing something?

Is there not a clamp holding down the flange at the bottom of the battery. Remove clamp, move battery 1 cm and lift battery. Regards Peter

Thanks, I'll pass that on. That's exactly what I would have looked for but he says the battery is a tight fit in the mounting. Maybe you have to get at it from under the wing or something? We'll see...
