Hello
My 52 Plate 1.4 16v clio has decided not to start especially in the mornings. I can turn it over for ages with no joy then leave 5 minutes and it will start. In the past I would have checked the plugs and leads etc but I can't find any on this engine, well nothing that looks like a Champion anyway!!!
Any ideas.

Coolant temperature sensor?

Spark plugs tend to be hidden under covers nowadays and buried deeply in the middle of the cylinder head casting. Special small box spanners/sockets may be needed to remove them.
No mechanical distributors used nowadays and the small coil packs can be well hidden.
It all looks a bit fragile on SWMBO cars I've checked recently- I'd be worried about causing damage if I tried to mess with them.

Thanks for replying. A mate has just said he had a similar problem with a renault van, it turned out to be the sensor that picks up the info from the key. Apparently its a ring shaped thing around the ignition, any ideas if this is easy to fit, or cheap to buy come to that.
Thanks
Andy
