BMW X3 (2010 - 2018)
xDrive 35d M Sport 5dr Auto
One of the nicest cars I have owned.
Fast, comfortable, good driving position. Overtaking is accomplished in an instant without fuss or much noise....and I have done a lot of fast overtaking (when fortunate to be living on the IOM). Diesel additive is well worth adding every so often, it adds noticeably extra snap. I particularly like it that the car doesn’t draw attention to itself. Run flat tyres make it almost bulletproof for reliability - especially valuable with the wretchedly dangerous (so called) smart motorways. Occasionally, if someone has been tailgating and the road then becomes clear, the speed at which you can make them disappear in the rear-view mirror can be fun. Heated steering wheel so nice that would not consider another car without it. Not used much off-road, but it has been really nice to make it work hard on the road, you can push it nicely to its limits when it remains calm and very well balanced. Xenon lights make night time driving so easy (comparatively LEDs are very poor) and they are set really well on this car.
