BMW X3 (2010 - 2018)
Xdrive 2.0d SE 5dr SUV
Great car to drive, the high seating position suits me well and the tiptronic gearbox is brilliant.
My third X3 and I’ve no regrets. My first one, previous model was good but the current model is so much better. Road tested against the Audience Q5 there was no comparison a far as I, and my wife, an avowed Audi fan, were concerned. The specified adaptive chassis control works really well and adds to the driving experience. Changed my previous X3 tyres to standard rubber when the original run-flats needed replacing. The improvement in driving comfort was most noticeable (as commented on by many X3 owners) so that was what I specified on my current car, on standard width alloys.
I’ve found the X3 to be pretty economical in fuel, insurance and road tax for the size and weight of the car. Other than servicing I’ve had a couple of repairs under warranty so overall I still rate the X3 very highly and will be in no hurry to replace it.
