BMW X3 (2010 - 2018)
2017 xDrive LCI Auto
I find the car so uninspiring
It's a BMW so it is what it is, expensive to buy and fairly basic, and especially expensive if you choose any of the long list extras. It's a pity a lot of the extras aren't fitted as standard like a lot of their competitors.
I can't get anywhere near the BMW quoted MPG, even on the motorways with the cruise control engaged. The cabin is now dated but the quality is good on the SE. Boot space is excellent. The 2.0d engine and the auto box is without criticism.
The main dislikes are the satnav system which for me isn't fit for purpose, one can't believe that BMW can fit such an inferior system. Which by the way went faulty after 18 months.
I also find the steering a tad low geared for me, so tending it to be a touch twitchy. The ride is acceptable but the rear passengers do find it too firm on a long trip.
