Suzuki Vitara (2015 on)
1.4 Boosterjet Sz-T Auto 5drgood to driv
Good to drive but annoying design faults
The VITARA is a good car to drive with good road holding and very little body roll when cornering. Nice driving position with a good view of the road and reasonably comfortable seats. It can suffer a bit from turbo lag you try to push it too hard from stationery but otherwise performs well with the auto box keeping the car moving quietly and economically averaging 43.7 mpg over 24000 miles so far. I chose the SZ-T which was a mistake as I should have gone for the SZ 5 with it’s extra bits and pieces. So would I buy another? No, unless Suzuki sort out a few design faults the major of which is the Speedo face. White hands on dial which has a broad silver band around the centre and silver numerals. Nothing wrong with my eyesight but you have to look hard to see what speed you are doing. What’s wrong with a simple black dial with white hands an numerals.? The air vents are flimsy and break too easily. Neat rear light clusters have ben replaced with two ugly chunks of red plastic. Suzuki have spoiled the ship for a ‘appennyworth of tar.
