Comfy and fun drive

The Vitara is not the standard setting SUV any more but it has the potential of setting the standards for 'value for money' SUV. Yes the cabin is full of hard plastics and there is wind noise when you accelerate over 70mph but then again it offers a comfy seat arrangement, good driving position, great visibility, good kits for the price of SZT and most of all it is responsive and fun. Fuel economy is respectable and so is the infotainment. The 1.6 petrol engine responds well and yes some excessive engine noise can be heard on acceleration but nothing too distracting really. If you can afford an Audi then you would not be looking in this review.
