Overall reliability

Great looks, very comfortable, reasonably frugal and trouble free; has exceeded expectations.

Purchased "used" as 7 days old and with 47 recorded miles from a main dealer, and with almost £10k off list price, I thought maybe my heart was ruling my mind! I had read mixed reviews about the C5 and had some trepidations regarding the cars reliability. However, in 12,000 miles of motoring I have had not a single problem to record, everything has worked wonderfully well and the Main Dealer, Bentleys of Warrington, serviced and valeted the car at 10k miles, and throughout I have found the C5 to be very comfortable, with a superb ride quality, and averaging around 42mpg in mixed driving conditions. Yes, a good buy to date and I feel the right decision to buy was made. Previous cars; Passats and Volvo S80 were not as good.
Two small details which could be better are that tyre wear on Michelins is not the best, (probably due for change at 15/16k and being 245 x 45 x 18" not cheap), and SatNav does not accept UK post codes. Otherwise very happy.
