Comfortable economical cruiser but with too many niggling, and also now, major faults.

I hope Citroen take time to read these reviews.

14 March 2014 - An update to the review below (and I would now say this is the worst car I have ever owned):

The car has now had another round of faults:

2 more window regaulators
air conditioning condensor
high level rear brake light

An to cap it all, the steering rack is now leaking oil. It's bad enough that this has happened at all on a 5 year old car, but to make matter worse the only place it seems possiblt to get a replacement from is Citroen, at an absolutely extortionate cost of £1150.

All in all this car is a complete pile of junk!!!!!

I bought this car for long distance commuting and to carry my family around at the weekend. It's a comfortable cruiser and economical too. The performance is ok but the driving experience is slightly spoiled by the lack of steering feel. The car is very practical, with a massive load space and is fairly comfy too. The cup holder in the arm rest is next to useless though and there should be more elsewhere. Unlike one of the other reviews, I've found the tyre life to be good, 25000 miles for fronts and 40000 for rear.

Unfortunately the owning experience is ruined by the almost constant trickle of faults. So far it's had a new bonnet (due to rust), a brake pedal switch fault (which casued the ABS and TCS to stop working), 2 new front window regulators, an air conditioning leak and now intermittently cuts out. Citroen know about most of these but aren't particularly helpful and need to be pressured to offer any financial compensation towards the repairs. It's latest fault of cutting out is potentialy dangerous. It's a shame that a potentially good car is let down by niggling quality issues.
