In May I’ve paid £1456.49 to clean all the valves as they were clogged, on Sunday the engine light came back on. RAC diagnostic said super knocking with code P3060 and 3061 as well as many other codes. Took car to Peugeot on Monday and only today they came back to me stating the following:

''We need to complete further checks relating to the engine. The De-coke has been completed by our Chingford branch. The fault may relate further to a cylinder head fault. If this is the case we may require to strip the cylinder head for inspection. I will confirm this on Monday but if this is the case, there will unfortunately be a further charge for the stripping of this which could be in excess of £500.''... Read more

About bus drives dont get me wrong everybody is different thats ehy you have rear cameras these days :))) but i am old fashion i preffer mirrors :) and rear window visibility.

I don't have a rear view camera on my van, and as for the buses i used to drive, only two of them had rear cameras and the picture quality was so poor as to be useless. I can see what is behind me and reverse perfectly well using the side mirrors.

Hello everyone,

I have bought a Mazda Cx-5 from 2013 with about 65,000 miles on end of November last year, in January i did a full service on the car at a Main dealer then the month after i was coming home from work and suddenly a warning light came on indicating low pressure, and the car lost power, i managed to get the car on the side of the road and i was hearing a loud knocking com ing from the engine, i recovered it to where i did the service and they mentioned i will need a new engine, as it costs alot, i've been back and forth with the dealer where i got the car from and they mentioned they can't help me with it.... "Maybe sell the car now it's been repaired ....."

That was my original thought as well. It's a difficult one in some respects because when you've had a big hit like that you feel you should keep the car a good few years more to try and 'recover' some of the cost. The danger is of course that the problem may happen again - or something else....

We had 3 Toyota Corollas, 2 Yaris's and my current i30, none ever needed a top up between services, which were about 9 to 10,000 miles apart.

US practice was for oil changes every 5000 miles or so, oil and petrol being so cheap there nobody cared much about consumption.

OK, well first off, i love the looks of the Ignis, have done since they first came out. So there was always an appeal there despite the the gearbox on the auto version.

But there was no way i was going to go for one without experiencing first hand just how bad or otherwise the single clutch automated manual was. Nothing doing at the local Suzuki dealer, as well as there not being any available for a test drive, i was actually told we may not get one anyway due to the iminent (temporary) withdrawal of an auto Ignis. Through a combination of coincidence and luck i managed to get a test drive in a year old Ignis AGS which popped up at a local used car dealer.... Read more

I read that there IS some tie up between Suzuki and Toyota but can't raise the enthusiasm to dig deeper.

Well yes, there is the Across and the Swace which are simply Suzuki badged versions of the RAV and Corolla. ...

Asking for an internet illiterate neighbour.

Stopped for speeding doing 45 in a 30 on a private road.

Connecting road is an unrestricted country lane so 60mph.

Private road has no other posted limits or streetlights.

He was actually stopped by a plod with a laser gun.

He’s going to contest it but is concerned that they can change it to dangerous driving or driving without due care and attention.

Is there a time limit on how long he can dispute the ticket and it be over time for any other charge?

Thanks Read more

People often use such roads to act out their boy racing desires, and not a race track on race days where the real drivers go.

if it is a country lane I must assume there is no footpath, and if there is no lighting as well then it was a stupid speed to be doing. The police might consider dangerous driving simply on what might have happened if a pedestrian had been using the road, but unlikely....

Is it me or are 19" Space saver wheels rare? My wife has just bought a Renault Kadjar which has the Bose sound system. Apparently all Kadjar' bar the Signature Nav have spare wheels. Apparently it's due to the sub-woofer being in the boot.

I was wondering where would the best place to search for the space saver? I've googled and googled and can only find 17" to 18" and not 19". Any advice would greatly be appreciated. Read more

Definitely keep it dealer serviced this year and probably next. That price won't be far off what an indie charges anyway.
