Best in (a rather small) Class

I am reviewing this on behalf of my daughter who is absolutely in love with her Volkswagen UP!

I bought her the car used at 14 months old with 25.000 miles
Needless to say, 2 Years and around 25.000 miles later she is still in love with her UP!

With a total of around 50.000 miles on the clock, the little VW has not had a single fault and as I have previously owned a Citroen C1 I can tell that the Volkswagen is a step above the competition.

To drive the Up is best described as nippy. It only has 60 horsepower so obviously is not fast but it never feels dull, the little three cylinder engine always has lots of energy.
It’s also super easy to drive around town and it never fails to put a smile on your face.
The Up also benefits from cheap insurance, FREE road tax and achieves 55+ miles to the gallon all the time - even when I’m driving it aggressively.
For such a little car, the Up also has good equipment such as Air Conditioning, central locking and even rear parking sensors - something the C1 did not have.

The biggest downsides to the Up are the exposed bits of metal on the doors which seems odd, road noise and on long journeys it can get a little uncomfortable, and it is not very practical due to its compact size but I have to say you would get the same, only worse in the rest of its class.

Overall, I would definitely recommend the Volkswagen Up. Non of its rivals can come close to beating it.
Its a solid little car, as you would expect from Volkswagen.
