Do coil springs have to be replaced in pairs?

My 2012 Skoda Octavia 1.4 TSI has just failed its MoT as one coil spring has 'fractured or broken' and the other is an advisory as it is corroded. Should I get both replaced or is it okay to just replace the broken one?

Legally, you only have to replace the failed spring, but given that one spring failed and the other was listed as corroded as an MoT advisory, it can't be far behind. Don't take the risk – replace both.
