It Rattles....
In the dealership now for the second week....
There is a rattle in neutral from the gearbox / clutch.
A memo from VW has been quoted to me stating it's normal, many of them do it.....
This rattle was bad enough for the dealer to strip the clutch twice and replace a bearing ( that was not greased !)....rattle just as bad, so refused to take the car home, now to be told sorry, tough luck, VW say the rattle is acceptable.
No other UP I tested rattled.......the car has 1,100 miles on the clock.
Waiting for another response back from VW GB direct..... what a carry on.
Be aware.....they can rattle....VW say so, I'm informed .
Just to update - still with the dealer...5 weeks on with no end in sight....
