Nissan Qashqai (2014 - 2021)
1.2 DIG-T 115 Acenta Premium 2WD 5dr SUV
Nice drive, good kit, poor economy
I decided to go for an SUV for easier access than my previous Hyundai i40.
My car came with sat-nav, panoramic roof, DAB radio, lane departure warning, rear camera, start/stop, folding mirrors, key-less entry etc. It was a good package.
Performance from the 1.2 petrol engine is surprisingly good, but don't expect to be 1st away at the lights. It needs a bit of time to pick its feet up, but cruises happily on the motorway.
Fuel consumption is disappointing overall, averaging 36 so far, though it will reach 50mpg on a decent run.
I find it comfortable to drive, controls are generally good & easy to use.
The suspension tends to thump at bit on potholes and there are a few body rattles which is disappointing.
The steering has developed a creak when cold, which I hope is not a sign of poor reliability to come. Recent survey results for this model do not seem too good. Time will tell.
