Nissan Qashqai (2014 - 2021)
1.6 dCi 130 Tekna 2WD Xtronic CVT Auto 5dr SUV
Good car - but not a BMW
Have been in a BMW X3 for some years and other BMW's before that. New Car meant a review and opted for the Qashqai Tekna 130 Xtronic.
Firstly, the car is a small SUV. Quite comfy with good heated front leather seats. Visibility not so good on A pillar at junctions.
But biggest issue is the Xtronic gearbox. Mine failed after 2500 miles and had to be replaced by the dealer. The work was done with no hassle or issue and an equivalent car provided. But driving the car now, it is supposed to be a CVT 'box that drives like a normal auto. IT IS NOT. It is better than a CVT but a long way from a standard auto. This is ok if you know what you are getting into. Drive before you buy.
I have done a further 2000 miles now and it is smooth and economical. But if you are looking for a rapid fire 'box for hussle type driving - this is not for you.
