Nissan Qashqai (2014 - 2021)
1.2 DIG-T 115 Acenta Premium 2WD 5dr SUV
A disappointing lack of confidence in both the car and Nissan
I read the great reviews, I liked the look, it seemed like a good choice to change from my old Toyota Verso. I was troubled by the lack of cruise ability in gear 6, then also why I had had to add oil. The dealers, Bromsgrove and Oxford, insisted it was within the manufacturer's guidelines and I just had to get used to it. Three weeks before my annual summer holiday, I took it for its first service. It needed a replacement engine, no less. Now I don't know much about cars but that's pretty radical. I guess now I am thankful it is much better but what a battle I have had with Nissan Customer Services. They offered derisory compensation - £100 off an extended warranty or £150 worth of accessories. Take it, leave if or complain to the ombudsman is Nissan's mantra.I'm leaving it in preference for resercing the right to shame Nissan as much as I can.Leopards don't change their spots - Datsun/Renault. I will be changing back to Toyota as soon as it is financially sensible and not because the car is so bad but I cannot abide arrogant, dismissive and unsympathetic customer service, Nissan.
