Nissan Qashqai (2014 - 2021)
1.6 Dig-T 163 N-Connecta 5dr SUV
Nice car, quiiet and fairly economical.
This is not a bad car for general use and mixed driving because it's spacious, comfortable (seats a bit soft on a long run though), good ride and economical at average 46 mpg - my best so far is over 60 and stands on the onboard computer as "best so far" (done between services on M25 and Heathrow Terminal 5). Interior finish could be better with use of cleanable fabrics on armrests instead of rough cloth which stains easily but otherwise most are of decent quality. This engine is quite pokey and will spin the wheels in low gears if allowed to but can be caught out if the revs are low either on take off or in higher gears (easily caught out on a country lanes when you suddenly encounter a hill and revs are less than 1500 as it dies unless quickly dropped down to 3rd or 4th depending on speed). Gadgets are quite good - heated screen and auto high beam are great but watch the cruise control if trying to notch down using the steering wheel control as it loses the plot and stops making any adjustment to the speed after a few notches (not good if you approach a speed reduction and start notching down and can end up at too high a speed).
