Nissan Qashqai (2014 - 2021)
1.2 Dig-T 115 Acenta 5dr SUV
Great family car
1.2 petrol engine is amazing. Very smooth and quiet with plenty of torque (140 ft/lbs the same as my 2.0i 16v petrol Citroen Xsara Picasso!) Good looks, easy drive with light steering, clutch and controls and progressive brakes. Were unsure about electronic handbrake but after only a couple of days wife and I love it. It is so easy to use, pretend it's not there, just pull away and it releases automatically. When you are driving hold car at a stop with footbrake (hill holder will hold car if on a slope) and when you park up just turn off ignition and parking brake automatically engages - simple! Fuel consumption and running costs excellent for this size of vehicle (big car with little engine really works) Boot is really clever with movable shelves that can be slid in vertical to create compartments or dropped to bottom to make boot bigger. Ignore spoilt car test reviewers who say car is a bit under powered, in the real world with speed limits car is more than capable of maintaining the speed limit even if on the biggest hills at 70mph you sometimes have to change down from 6th gear to 5th to maintain speed. Equipment levels excellent with a camera reading speed signs and then displaying on dash, dual climate control, lane departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, electric folding mirrors and tyre pressure monitoring to name but a few.
Great car - you can see why they are selling so many and why their are loads on the road.
