Satnav doesn't work and nissan won't repair it

A fantastic car - comfortable, quiet and good fuel economy but marred by a satnav system that fails to work properly despite numerous complaints to the local dealer and Nissan customer services. Despite reporting the fault 4 weeks ago and nissan confirming that many more customers have faults with their systems as well, I am no nearer to having it fixed as the technical team are still trying to understand what is causing the fault. On Tuesday I was driving through the English Channel and on most journeys I am either in fields or 20 yards behind my car, while my portable Garmin (which I have purchased because the Qashqai system doesn't work) guides me faultlessly to my destination.

Do not buy a new shape Nissan Qashqai with a satnav system until nissan owns up that they have problems and have found a solution. Disgusting customer service and poorly designed electronic systems
