1.5 TDCi 75ps Style 5dr Hatchback

I am not sure why this is the best selling car in the UK

I drove this car for three weeks as a temporary replacement for my 2016 Hyundai i10 1.25 whilst my car was undergoing repairs after an accident.
The Fiesta was OK but definitely not preferable to my car.
The performance was quite spritely between 1600-3000revs ...I did not require more pace.
The economy was 53 mpg; the same as the average for my car but this diesel was confined to being mainly a winter runabout, not it's ideal environment. The seats were comfortable and the gear change good... just as in my car but the steering through a local S bend had a disconcerting light and vague feel as it returned through the central position.
I am sure this Fiesta would make a good workhorse but I truthfully would not swap it for my car, even if they were the same price.
Perhaps the Fiesta is better in petrol form.
