Ford Fiesta (2013 - 2017)
Titanium 1.0T EcoBoost 100 Start/Stop 3dr Hatchback
Amazing little car!
What can I say? What a great little car made even better by a marvel of modern engineering. The ecoboost engine is simply fantastic. You won't get near the official MPG, but the balance of economy and performance is astonishing. For get about the cubic capacity, that's last century thinking. This engine pulls strongly and smoothly from 1400rpm, accompanied with very little turbo lag and diesel like torque, it is an incredibly engaging car to drive. The car feels much livelier than its 0-60 suggest and overtaking is a breeze. The gear ratios take time to get used too. The car does not drive like a normal petrol or diesel. It drives like an ecoboost, you really need to try one! And no 3 cylinder wobble, but you still get that really great 3 cyl burble.
The steering weights up perfectly in corners and despite having electronic power steering you can feel exactly what's going on with the tyres. The sort of steering and handling Ford are known for. The car feels more solid than my Toyota.
Expect 46mpg around town with spirited driving and 55-58 mpg on the motorway. I run the car on BP ultimate or Shell nitro. I see 6% increase in mpg and despite being good, even better throttle response.
I will certainly be swapping the Toyota for one ASAP, meaning two fiestas in the house!
I'm a high milage driver(25k per year) and if this is the future of petrol DIESEL IS DEAD!
Well done Ford!
