BMW 3 Series (2012 - 2019)
320i xDrive M Sport 4dr Saloon
Fantastic to drive, right power, right economy, absolutely love it
I bought this car with 3k miles on it. It was an approved used car and had been previously registered to BMW UK, it has £4k of factory options, advanced business navigation, heated seats, servotronic steering, 19" wheels and various others.
Having had BMW diesels in the past I was wary of going to a petrol, and to be honest the higher end torque has taken some getting used to, but I am glad I made the change. On average I get around 42mpg, which is a daily commute of 40miles and a mixture of a little urban and mostly 60mph. I always use Shell V-Power petrol.
The xdrive in the Alps was spot on, coupled with 16" steel wheels and Bridgestone Blizzak winter tyres, I was quite miffed I couldn't swap my previous set of winter wheels over from my E81 1 series, but the steel wheel had to be slightly wider.
The 2 litre petrol engine is sweet, refined, and has the performance I need and when I need it. I am an enthusiastic driver who hates filling up and this does the job for me. The car does have additional toys which are a joy to have, syncing my iPhone with the media system is great. The xdrive is not noticeable at all and the car still feels as though it has the rear drive bias which I enjoy. Extra traction kicks in exactly when I need it.
Dealer service from Sytner has been pretty good, a few issues with the wrong ordering of accessories which irritated me especially as they have the chassis number but its in the past now.
The other things is that buying when 6 months old, I saved over £12k on new, there seems to be a massive price differential between ex BMW UK cars and dealer demonstrators.
I would definitely recommend this car.
