  I am currently running my Focus TDdi on 100% biodiesel and wondered whether these models were fitted with a fuel tank strainer? Thanks for any help

  The query about Perodua in another thread led me to think about makes of cars which were only sold in this country for a few years. Yugo and Moskvich spring immediately to mind. I'm sure there will be others. And is anyone still running one of these obsolete makes?

  There's a small ad in Auto Freeway for a 97 Vectra, taxed and tested, described by its trade seller as an excellent run around for £595. Only thing is, the pic shows the car on the back of a recovery truck. * Auto Freeway North East, Aug 29 edition, pg 12.

  A tyre is near the legal limit. It's 14x60x195. I have a near-unworn, in-date, 13x?x175 tyre on a rim with the same PCD. If I were to run it on the back, opposite a 14x60x195, what issues might I noticees?

  the car seems to run fine and idles ok but sounds like a cam chain tenisioner has broke becouse the chains sounds like its slapping is that possible? cheers

  An item on BBC1 news this morning said that only 1% of people who got parking tickets appealed against them but, of those who did appeal, 60% were successful. Clear message there - overwhelm the system, and money-grabbing sharks who run it, with a blizzard of paper!

  If you had the choice of a 2004 Nissan Micra 1.4 SE Auto or a Ford Fiesta 1.4 Ghia Auto, both at £5700 from franchised dealers, which would you go for? Nissan known for reliability, Ford for cheap running costs.....I just don't know!

  Hi guys, just signed up to this forum, on a friend's recommended. anyway I have a Hyundai Accent 1.3 GSI, 2001. Its been a nice drive so far but recently I have noticed that the petrol just runs out so quick. Any suggestions guys??

  98 A6. Today although the display light to tell you the door is open and 'OK' once the engine is running the display appears totally blank. I note the car was rather hot due to sunshine. Any Ideas. Regards Peter

  I don't need GPS route finder but would find a compass very useful. Can anyone recoomend a reasonably priced, no-frills GPS one please, preferably running on torch batteries? Those I have checked online cost at least £60 and £20 is nearer my budget

  How do you bypass the immobiliser on an Astra 1996 LS 1.4? It is a stolen + recovered vehicle and will a new ignition barrel etc. sort this out because it won't run for more than 3 seconds without cutting out. any advice please? thanks

  my cruise control has stopped working ,car running o.k. is there a fuse or a way to re-set it, The green light indicating cruise is on will not light up at required speed. The engine managment system was updated on last service in december is this update a possible reason for hiccup.

  Have a 1998 1.3 which has started to run rough and lose power. Checked spark and found two cylinders no spark at plug. Tried new plug first then swapped the coil pack, this makes no difference. Anyone with any ideas, or info on these cars.

  The time has come to change my car. Have a budget of around £7000-£7500. New car must be as new as possible, cheap (ish) to run and reliable. Currently looking at new shape 05 reg focus which are just in budget, any other suggestions would be welcome. Regards Dave

  Hi there, I hope someone can give me an idea of what's wrong with my L reg 405. Replaced battery about 6 weeks ago and has been running fine since then. Worked fine this morning then tried to get back in car this afternoon and there was no power at all.

  I have a Vectra 1.8 2003 petrol/lpg car.I have been told damage can be caused to the valves due to running on gas. Does anyone have experience of Flashlube,which i am told is a cure! regards dave

  does any one else own a '04 2.0 diesel zafira? since day one i have never been able to get a decent mpg out of it (38-40 mpg on decent run) its been in the garage a few times havin various things replaced with no joy

  My wipers have started running at a snails pace and I suspect the motor. Has anyone replaced the front windscreen wiper motor? How easy or diffcult? Any known pitfalls? Any instructions. I'd appreciate some help.
