does any one else own a '04 2.0 diesel zafira? since day one i have never been able to get a decent mpg out of it (38-40 mpg on decent run) its been in the garage a few times havin various things replaced with no joy

How many miles has it done? - A diesel needs a fair few miles under it's belt before the engine beds in and gets anywhere near the official figures.
Talking of which, what are the official figures? - This, btw, is a figure calculated under optimum conditions, but rarely equalled in real life conditions.

its now done 13000....the official figures are 35 urban and 53 extra....round town im actually getting about 33 but only about another 5-7 on a run

The official figures are merely to compare one car against another, and not to be taken as gospel. There are more factors that affect fuel consumption than you could possibly imagine, most notably the way you drive the car, the type of journeys you do, and how well it's maintained.

yeh understand all that railroad..........the problem i have is the the car is good round town and well down on a run.......the garage agrees with me but are struggling to find a solution
