Volkswagen Polo (2009 - 2017)
SE 1.4 5dr Hatchback
roomy, quiet and easy to drive
Took advantage of sc***page to trade in 15 year old 2.0 l VW that had been great car. Very pleasantly surprised at how thing have moved on with smaller cars . Polo is very easy to drive with good gear change and clutch.
All controls well placed and driving position good. Ride is good and handling also very good.
Car is smooth and pretty quiet.
Seating and interior comfortable and seems pretty well screwed together. Two level boot useful.
Seems well equiped at this trim level with every thing I need, also like rear discs [ hate drums ] Performance is about what I expected from a 1.4 and has reasonable torque so don't have to rev too much. Motorway cruising is relaxed.
Update - Now at 15k after two years - so car obviously doesn't have too hard a life. Still very happy and haven't ammended star ratings. Only fault so far has been a jammed fuel flap lock which was changed under warranty.Lock looks rather fragile however and not up to standard of older VWs
