Good economy and performance with cheap running costs
I purchased this car from a dealer with 150 miles on the clock. Since purchase it's been totally reliable and the first service was £117. With road tax at £20pa, cheap insurance and mpg at between 48-52 (with a light right foot) it's cheaper to run than most diesels. Performance is more than adequate and the manual 6 speed gearbox smooth and precise. Well screwed together and appointed, the only downside is tyre roar on some motorway surfaces. It can be a bit tight accommodating 4 large adults - but you don't buy a Polo for this anyway.
All in all, a brilliant all rounder. I'm really surprised HJ doesn't include in the top 20 tax band B cars.
