  Hi, had a new alternator fitted 18 months ago, clocked up 20,000 miles and bearings shot to bits so had to have it replaced. Contacted garage but fobbed off with basically tough as” passed the 12 months warranty”. Personally I believe it to contravene the consumer act 2015. Thoughts and advice

  I have a 2015 Scirocco 2.0TDi with start stop function. I've read that it is recommended idling a turbo diesel for a few minutes after a long motorway run to avoid damaging the turbo but how does this work with the start stop facility kicking in automatically when coming to a stop on the off
