Will all-season tyres improve my ride quality?

We run a 19 plate Peugeot 2008 which we like except it has a very hard ride, almost as if the dampers are missing. I am a great fan of Michelin tyres so do you think a set of their All Climate tyres would improve the ride?

A change of tyre could help improve the ride quality, and an all-season tyre is one option, although you may wish to consider just changing to a tyre with a different aspect ratio. Assuming your current tyres are 205/50R17, swapping these for 205/55R17 would give you a taller sidewall which could help to improve the ride. However, given that 50 aspect ratio tyres on 17-inch wheels is not a particularly aggressive setup, you may wish to try adjusting your tyre pressures to their lowest recommended setting to see if this improves the ride, and potentially have the suspension checked by a garage to ensure everything is in working order.
