  This happened to me recently on an A road and got me thinking. I'm in the left hand lane in a moving flow of traffic Car in the right hand lane parallel to me at the same speed His section of road finishes shortly He forces me to brake sharply or else reprofile the whole side of my car. Question

  broken in the first place, car and lorry makers do this regularly, fix what wasn't broken in the first place, ie manual parking brakes, and this being one of the last remaining defence posts of common sense in car matters..... Thankyou.
