Do all cars drive the same these days?? 4 Jun 2007 (Forum)
dreadful to drive compared to the cars I used to drive in the 90's, and maybe even the 80's. Can anyone recommend a medium size car that has a supple suspension and a civilised, smooth drive? Preferably not French, and pref not a Ford or Vauxhall and 3k - 4k to spend. I was thinking maybe a Seat Leon -
What car for 10-12k? 2 Feb 2007 (Forum)
diesel sounds like an ideal choice, this is in budget - other end of the scale, Lotus Elises seem to be going for around this price, as do some Honda S2000's - also seems like some BMWs - 330, 325 - fall into budget, shape before the current one, older M3's look nice Any advice greatfully received -

Bumpers 18 Oct 2005 (Forum)
attached to 50's and 60's barges. Triumph tried rubber bumpers on the Herald but they didn't catch on with other makers. Impact with kerb (Honda Jazz) 27 Jun 2005 (Forum)
I recently had the misfortune of hitting a kerb at an angle of about forty-five degrees at 20-25mph. This caused a minor deformity to the near-side-front wheel trim and may now give the impression that I have got a buckled wheel, which one occasionally sees on other cars but can never see on one?s -
Some pre-MOT questions please! 18 Jun 2005 (Forum)
MOT stated 2 'Advices', namely: M (or N?)/S/F C/V Boot; and O/S/R outer sill. I'd be really appreciative to hear what these are, if they are big jobs, what money I'm looking at, and anything else that might be helpful. I'm booking it in tomorrow, and I'd really like to go a little more -

This morning, in my usual manner, I left to go to work. Mistake. The road outside my house, which is normally a \'rat run\' was busy, but i thought no more of it. Next thing I discover why - there\'s been an accident 800m or so up the road (YES! It involved a minibus taxi!) and traffic -

Girl Talk Thread. 30 Apr 2004 (Forum)
as is everybody else. Personally I wouldn\'t want to be treated differently, but that\'s just me. Can we let the subject drop of whether or not it should exist, and just accept that it does. We\'ve allowed discussion on the subject, but enough is enough. If its used it will survive, and if it isn\'t used -

Any - Stop / Start Systems 10 Dec 2017 (Forum)
This post came about as the result of a direct question elsewhere on the forum. I was asked specifically what I thought the effect of s/s was on engine life. But this set me off on something of a rant about how s/s had come into being as well as it's effects on the cars mechanical systems
