  • Volkswagen Sharan - VW Sharan DSG oil/flywheel 27 Mar 2018 (Forum)
even with dealer history but yet, I've seen on a couple of sites reports that suggest it is wet.  Assuming it's the same engine as in other cars? Also given its an auto will it have a DMF still or does it use a torque converter.   Anyone know either way? Thanks

I've just bought an 06 passat 6 speed 2.0 tdi (140) and have receipts from previous owner of new gearbox and clutch/DMF 3 months ago. • Renault Modus (2004 - ) - 04 1.5dci Clutch Slip? 23 Jun 2008 (Forum)
(s):- . Is this clutch slip? . Could it be a poorly adjusted clutch (e.g. it's not been released fully when the foot is off the pedal)? . Does this car have a DMF and is this an early sign of it's impending failure? Car is only 3.5 years old and with just under 30k on the clock.
  • Volkswagen Golf IV - Possible gearbox damage due to garage? 30 Apr 2012 (Forum)
that there was a slight juddering when pulling off in first gear and reverse. Its also generally just not as smooth driving as it was before I had the work done. So I took it back for them to look at thinking that it would be down to the dmf again however they have said that they think it's the gearbox and it's likely I

  • CRV etc - CRV or not CRV 9 Dec 2010 (Forum)
other probs? Am I right in thinking diesel is probly not the way forward for low mileages (i've got 55k in 8years on the RAV4) because of DMF probs (which I've had with RAV4 :<(() and DPF on newer diesels? So anything else to consider a contender - IX35? Sonata? others? Any (helpful) comments, links

  • Jaguar S-Type (1999 - 2007) - 2.7 twin turbo diesel 13 Dec 2008 (Forum)
it, but any warnings as to longevity/ DMF issues/ things going bang? Are they relatively much more expensive to buy than the equivalent petrol (the V6 3.0)? Part of me recoils in horror at the thought of a diesel jag, but it does seem to make good sense. Cheers then, Alex.
  • Corsa 1.3 cdti - Dual mass flywheel 16 Dec 2019 (Forum)
Hi everyone I have a corsa and I think the dmf is knackered . Gear changes are a bit notchy and it won't go into reverse without crunching  Also if you have it in first gear with the clutch pedal pressed and you rev it  it will slightly start to pull forward .. Like the clutch isn't
  • Kia Carens - 'safe' motoring 5 Apr 2016 (Forum)
chopping it in for something a little simpler, and definitely not diesel so there's no DMF or DPF etc. I no longer do enough miles to justify diesel, but I do prefer how they drive.   I'm attracted to Kia, mainly for value and the warranty. In particular, the Carens 1.6GDi. A 2014 model with c
