Vauxhall Vectra (2002 - 2008)
SRi 1.9 CDTi 16v (150ps) 5dr Hatchback
Remarkable car.
This is my Dad's car. Bought in 2010. It's brilliant! It's very practical, massive boot, plenty of rear head/leg room. Nice, roomy car, decent glove-box as well and cubby holes. Seats are comfortable and the interior is logically laid out. The 1.9(150) engine is a charm, average 50MPG, best on record was 57MPG and 647miles on one tank! It's very fast as well, you can easily leave even BMW's behind. SRI suspension is rough and not massively refined but its al-right and it handles corners very well at speed. The two reversing lights are great, easy to see on the dark driveway. Proper handbrake is much better than an electronic one! It's pretty reliable too, we've had some issues; one being the DPF however the car had done nearly 80,000miles at the time. Other issues were just natural over-time and miles. Headlights are also good.
Disadvantages. Equipment levels could be better, wind-down rear windows aren't the best. The car could be slightly better overall, to keep up with the competition but it works well. Can’t think of any more; it really is a great car. Your search for a car, ends here.
