Vauxhall Corsa (2014 - 2019)
1.0SE Ecoflex
Bought 1.0SE Ecoflex May 2021 with 29k on the clock, Sept 2024 now have 38k - how has it been?
Likes: Great fun to drive with its 90hp engine and 6-speed gearbox and averaging around 60mpg. It feels like a good quality Polo inside and lacks for nothing with aircon, heated seats, windscreen and steering wheel. My other half (the owner) is 5ft 1, I'm over 6ft and we both feel comfortable when driving it. It's quiet, very nippy, handles well and there's plenty of room in the cabin for four people.
Dislikes: Nothing major. Stop/start - we didn't like it but you can that turn function off. Lights always come on when doors unlocked, but no option to disable that so have to turn them off manually every time.
Problems: It's had a slight oil leak from the oil cooler ever since we bought it, but as it's never got worse and hasn't needed topping up between services, we just keep an eye on the oil level as replacing the oil cooler gasket is quite a major job (£450). Oddly, it never leaks on long journeys.
Summary: It's never let us down, low running costs (£0 tax), economical but sporty and good build quality. Would recommend to anyone looking for a small car.
