Update to an earlier comment on 7January.
Auris went to RRG Macclesfield for the modifications to the Toyota Safety System on 7 February. I checked by using an infra red thermometer which showed the heating element within the screen module housing the detectors was operational!
Since then there have been no recurrences of the error messages. Even when travelling in damp, foggy and cold conditions,on the Cat and Fiddle road and the A34, where it has happened before on several occasions. The latest in minimum of 3C, in fog over the Cat, and followed by heavy traffic in and out of Manchester.
