Toyota Auris (2013 - 2019)
Icon 1.8 VVT-i HybridSynergy Drive CVT Auto 5dr Hatchback
It is a relaible, quiet, and econimical car that performs exactly as advertised.
The car is very easy to drive, and encourages sensible driving control. It is comfortable, and the CVT seems to operate extremely well, even though on high demand of the accelerator, the revs and associated noise for a few seconds belies the generally almost silent ride in the car.
Compared with a similar sized Citroen C4, the Auris does not have the same amount of storage compartments for small items like keys, and mobiles, and nick knacks , which I miss.
I find that by calculation I am getting about 58MPG, (about 62 indicated on car computer), which I am very happy with. The acceleration and braking, plus general handling are quite satisfactory for me. The rear storage is also very good with easy to lower rear seats, and the adjustable floor depth of the boot.
Generally happy with the car, just wish there was more small storage facilities.
