Car has done 8000 miles, I noticed the rear tyres were wearing quicker than the fronts, I live on a remote Scottish island and was unable to have the car inspected until my yearly trip South to visit family, booked the car into a Suzuki dealership who, without prompting suggested a faulty rear axle/ subframe, both rear tyres are 1.6mm with one tyre less than this on the outside edge, the fronts by comparison are 6mm tread. Dealership asked me to have 4 wheel tracking undertaken and report back, this is booked along with two replacement tyres at a Kwikfit centre, will then report back to Suzuki. Garage said the test must be independent hence the kwikfit booking, garage has suggested Suzuki will meet full cost of replacement subframe and MAY meet cost of replacement tyres. Car does not tow, carry loads or have incorrect pressures. Will report back to HJ as this progresses.
