Suzuki Vitara (2015 on)
1.4 Boosterjet S Allgrip 5dr SUV
Great engine, found wanting in some other areas
Like most other reviewers, I find the 1.4 turbo engine is great. Though I’ve found some other areas, which are not quite so good. For example the noise levels in the car are quite high. The rear suspension is a bit primitive, and the rear end is inclined to jump around on bends blighted with uneven surfaces. The radio turns itself on when you start up the car - very frustrating as I rarely listen to the radio. The rear boot door is flimsy and requires a good shove to be sure of shutting it properly. I’ve had issues with an oil leak from a drive shaft seal and the radar support randomly turning itself off. Trying to get the dealer to pay attention to this latter fault has also been an issue. I’ve been carefully figuring my real mpg by filling up with fuel and noting miles and fuel used. I’m light footed but only getting just over 41mpg. I really like the analogue clock - it’s display is a perfect fit for my TomTom mount. I much prefer the TomTom to the Suzuki mapping.
