Suzuki Vitara (2015 on)
1.4 Boosterjet S Allgrip 5dr
Mainly Good but ...
We have owned the car just under a year and had been very pleased. The Allgrip feature works very well no problem tackling a farm track in all weathers that my previous Qashqai could only make when dry. Suspension on the S is harder than I would like and the rear seat is only comfortable with two passengers. However the car feels solid, but with more features than I require, e.g. cruise control.
The car had a brake recall with the local Suzuki dealer in October 2023 and since then we have had an intermittent radar brake function temporarily disabled warning display. The dealer said that the display was not related to the recall and that our car had probably been hit by another car in the supermarket car park, although there is no sign of any such damage on the car.
Since then we have been having difficulties getting the problem fixed. The Suzuki dealer has been pretty unhelpful and we had no real assistance from Suzuki UK either.
Have spent a bit of time since checking for this radar warning malfunction on the internet and found a worrying number of other owners with the same or similar issues, many seem to have remained unresolved.
Suzuki need to address radar issue, or remove the functionality. Had I realised the Vitara was prone to this problem I would not have bought one.
