Does MG's seven year warranty cover brake calipers?
Our six year old MG ZS developed a noise from one of the rear wheels. A faulty brake caliper was found to be the problem. The failure has resulted in subsequent failure of brake disc, which itself had only been replaced less than three thousand miles ago. Does MG's seven year warranty cover replacing these failed components?

The terms and conditions of your warranty should outline what is and is not included under the warranty - if you do not have this information you can request it from the dealer or MG UK. Commonly not all brake components are covered under warranties, as pads and discs are usually considered a consumable item which will eventually wear out and need to be replaced. However it is possible that the caliper would be covered as they are expected to have a longer lifespan.
