Skoda Roomster (2006 - 2015)
Scout 1.9 PD
A super package that offers an awful lot
We've only had the car a week and are already enjoying it. The panoramic sunroof is a great idea making the car very light and airy. Gently driven so far and the on-board computer has shown 60mpg, probably a real 54 if experience with these VAG devices is anything to go by. One silly little problem though. A small piece of plastic that acts on the seat slider detent pin has failed. It is a 20p item but to get a replacement you have to buy a complete new seat base (the whole sliding mechanism) at £350 and on back order, no delivery date. This has to be the antithesis of producing Greenline models, building in expensive fuel saving devices, etc. Once we've fixed it we are looking forward to some relaxing long distance drives and good times on high days and holidays. This silly little (but expensive) issue aside, early suggestions are that the car will meet our needs and expectations.
